BISC TAKES 2ND AT JANUARY CHALLENGE.

BISC had a highly successful challenge meet at Helene Madison Pool, hosted by Cascade Swim club on Jan 16-17. We sent 61 swimmers (out of a total 367) and our team placed 2nd overall. This is an excellent result and congratulations go to all athletes and our wonderful coaches. Congratulations also go out to Todd McCarthy who placed 1st in his 6 individual events, and Anna Peirano, Garrett Waite and C.J Waite who all had top 3 finishes in 7 individual events.   Check out here for results of the top 3 individual event finishers and the 12 relay teams that placed in the top 3.

BISC TEAM PLACES 9TH AT PNS 14 & U CHAMPS.

Congratulations to all BISC swimmers who competed December 11-13 at the 2009 PNS 14 & Under PNS Champs at KCAC. All the hard work and training paid off with the outstanding result of BISC placing 9th out of 41 teams. We sent a total of 24 swimmers to the event. Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed in the top 3 for their event:

Julia Lapin 1st  10 & U 100 Br, Samantha Sinopole  3rd in 10 & U 100 Br,  Garrett Waite 3rd 10 & U 100 Back, C.J, Waite 3rd 11-12 100 Br & 2nd  200 Br, Kay Sterner 3rd 13-14 500 Free,  Spencer Alpaugh 1st in 13-14 1650 Free,  2nd in 500 Free, 3rd in 400 IM and Todd McCarthy  3rd in 13-14 100 Back, 3rd in 200 Back.

BISC PENTATHLON WINNERS AT FALL DIVSIONAL CHAMPS

Well done to the 32 athletes BISC sent to the Fall Divisional Championships on December 5-6 at OAC. BISC athletes swam with pride and determination along with a great team spirit. Congratulations to the Pentathlon winners and top 3 placements :

Lauren Witty : 1st Girls 9 Pentathlon  and Makai Ingalls: 1st Boys 8 & U Pentathlon

Hannah Tonsmann: 2nd, Carina Laukaitis 2nd, McKenzie Bell 2nd, Megan Sellman 3rd, Alyssa Estes 2nd

 

BISC REPRESENTED AT 2010 ALL-STAR MEET.

Congratulations to Spencer Alpaugh who represented Pacific Northwest Swimming at the Pacific Coast All Star Meet in Cerritos California on January 9-10. Spencer competed in the 500 Fr (15th), 100 Br (17th), 200 Br(14th), 200 Fly (14th) 200 IM (19th), 400IM (8th), 400 Free relay (10th) and 200 Medley relay (10th). It was a great experience to fly down to CA and be part of a large event and compete against teams from California, British Columbia and Oregon.
