The mission of the
Bainbridge Island Swim Club (BISC) is to provide a multi-faceted
swim program with the goal of meeting the needs of each swimmer
from the recreational to the highly competitive. We provide a well
balanced training environment so that all swimmers may achieve
their maximum potential.
When your child joins
BISC, parents or guardians automatically become members of the BISC
Booster club. The BISC booster Board, elected members acting on
behalf of the membership, lead the promotional effort of the
competitive swim program and coordinate most of the team events
planned throughout the swim year. These efforts include swimmer
registration, fundraising, purchase and maintenance of swim
equipment, staging home meets, award ceremonies, team building
activities and parties, and general communication efforts with the
membership.
While there is no
mandatory service commitment, each BISC Booster Club family is
encouraged to get involved with the club by volunteering
hours in support of some of the many functions held through out the
year. Requests for volunteers are coordinated through this website
with "on-line" registration.
The BISC Booster Club
meets monthly. All booster parents are invited to attend
these monthly meetings. The monthly meeting time & place is
posted on the BISC Calendar. Meeting agendas and minutes are
posted on this website under the
Other Documents
Tab. There are 11
elected positions on the BISC Board. Elections are held each
Spring. Many of these positions are multiple year
positions.
